Freshfield is a public relations and marketing communications consultancy founded in 1998 and based in Preston.

Having worked with Freshfield for a number of years we were tasked with integrating its new website designs into WordPress so that staff could fully manage their site content and showcase client work.

Our Response

Working with the internal design team at Freshfield, we were tasked with developing a site that would allow the team to manage various areas of the website with ease. As a company based squarely in the communication section, it needed to be able to communicate clear categories of information items including news, campaign and blog articles, as well as bringing in social media elements in the form of a live Twitter feed.
By writing a few extra bespoke plug-ins and widgets to handle Twitter and multiple news sections, we leveraged the power of WordPress into a fully flexible, easy-to-use, future-proof system that allows Freshfield staff to easily update and manage the website.

The Results

With communication being the core goal of the Freshfield website, WordPress offered an ideal platform to achieve this. Originally starting out as a blogging platform seven years ago, it has evolved into a powerful CMS and news platform, a fact re-enforced by the majority of Fortune 500 companies that use WordPress.

Freshfield has been happily adding regular content to the site since the trouble-free launch. We also focused on implementing sound and ethical SEO during the build so that Freshfield now occupies many top results on Google for its desired keywords.
