The company approached us with a view to design a clean, visually engaging and image led website which would truly showcase the impressive Applethwaite portfolio of developments.
It was of the utmost importance that the site not only offered a user experience, but also ensured that the CMS would offer site admins a platform to be able to fully update and edit the site regularly as new projects and developments became available. It also had to be constructed with growth in mind, as the company has adventurous plans for expansion, particularly in developments.
The site also had a dedicated news and press section, for clients and prospective clients to stay fully abreast of company updates, which would also offer help in boosting in SEO rankings.
Wireframes were drawn up, refining various mechanisms for viewing property information and enquiring.
We ensured the site fully optimises the user experience accordingly for the device being used, such as desktop, tablet and mobile. The latter was particularly important to ensure the company benefited from the smartphone led era of internet searching, which also aligns it with Google's preference for mobile-friendly websites.
The site is fully responsive to the latest devices. We also ensured it's coded according to industry leading standards and is fully SEO ready - as a result, it's optimised to maximise search engine visibility and climb higher rankings.
We also migrated the existing content onto the new website framework and delivered the results via a smooth transition when we fully launched the new site, ensuring the company lost none of its previous work.
Our web design and developlment expertise ensured the site was designed with ease of navigation in mind. With the property developments displayed on the homepage, and the ability to click through and view the development details such as the site plan and location in a single click. Key areas are highlighted using the umbrella company, Eric Wright's, brand colour of orange.
