Established in 1970, Taylor Patterson is a leading Lancashire based financial advisory firm providing wealth management, strategic financial planning, employee benefits, and pensions services to businesses and individuals.
Taylor Patterson required a website which reflected their high standards of service. They sought a fresh brand identity, along with an easily navigable new site, which would display their brand's services in distinguishable sections.
Its former website had become outdated and unresponsive, leading to clients finding it difficult to navigate. Worse still, mobile and tablet access (one of the cornerstones of modern internet sites) were struggling to run the site.
We set about redesigning the site with a professional new sheen and planned downloadable information packs for additional support. These would enable customers, current or otherwise, to easily acquire data regarding Taylor Patterson's expertise. To bolster these upgrades, fully responsive design needed to be devised.
Our aim was to redesign Taylor Patterson's current site in WordPress, restructure the navigation, and create a modern user interface as part of our cutting edge financial web design services. The site had to stand out from key competitors and deliver a fantastic user experience for customers.
We began by drawing up wireframes, giving us a clear visual of the basic layout of the site. A colour coded system was then devised based on the newly restructured navigation.
The outcome was a strikingly modern design which was visually engaging for Taylor Patterson's clients, as well as being straightforward to navigate. The website was made fully manageable by coding it in WordPress, allowing Taylor Patterson to edit pages with ease.
The site also needed to include an external SIPP (Self-Invested Personal Pension) and SSAS (Small Self-Administered Scheme) section. We created a design similar to the main site's, but we also included a separate brand. The result is an easy to navigate site which customers have thoroughly enjoyed.
The site effectively utilises Taylor Patterson's branding, incorporating vector graphics, distinguishable colour scheme, and iconography. It has been designed to funnel visitors from the home page to the service they are after; it was essential each section had clear points of contact, and brochure download information. We suggested they colour code these sections in order to create a sense of brand recognition.
